Strokes Gained calculator

Price one shot against the same deterministic Broadie engine used inside AlignIQ. Enter what was known before and after the swing. No account and no invented inputs.

Before the shot
After the shot

Recovery means a normal advance is blocked. Use rough when the ball is simply in rough but a normal shot remains available.

Shot value

Enter the two positions to see what changed.

The result will show the lookup before, the lookup after, and the Strokes Gained value for both reference lines.

What this calculator does

It looks up expected strokes to hole out for the starting and ending positions, subtracts the stroke used, and charges any penalty. The Tour line is the primary reference. The scratch-amateur line is a secondary comparison built from Broadie’s published amateur material.

Distance units

Use yards for tee, fairway, rough, sand, pine straw, recovery, and fringe. Use feet when the lie is green. Mark the ending position as holed when the shot finished in the cup.

Limits

The calculator measures the result of a shot. It cannot diagnose a swing, explain the cause, or turn one observation into a practice recommendation. An out-of-range or incomplete lookup returns no result rather than a guessed value.
